Getting there and around

The TGV puts Paris-Montparnasse about two and a half to three hours away, at the central station. La Rochelle-Île de Ré airport, 15 min from the centre, flies direct to London, Dublin, Porto and several European cities; Nantes-Atlantique, 1 h 30 away, widens the long-haul offer via Paris. The ring road and the Île de Ré bridge open the coast; Niort and the A10 motorway are 45 min away.
