Getting there and around

Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport (LYS), France's fifth busiest, serves 135 destinations across 42 countries (London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Montreal) and is 30 minutes away via the Rhônexpress shuttle. The TGV links Paris in about 2h, as little as 1h42 on the fastest services, making Lyon one of the easiest French cities for regular use between Paris and the regions.

The rhythm of the year

The market is active from February to July, then in September and October, with a spring peak where characterful stock moves quickly. For a remote buyer, March-May and September combine a wider choice with quieter viewings outside school holidays. Summer and late December bring a classic slowdown, suited to negotiation but with thinner inventory.
