Getting there and around

Montpellier Méditerranée airport (MPL) serves Europe and the Mediterranean basin (Paris, London, Brussels, seasonal Marrakech), but remains modest in size: for long-haul flights, Lyon or Marseille offer a practical complement. The TGV links Paris in about 3 h 20 from the Saint-Roch and Sud de France stations, and the A9 and A75 motorways open onto Spain and the Massif Central.

The rhythm of the year

Activity is brisk from February to June and in September-October, while the summer months bring heat and tourist crowds.
