Getting there and around

Paris is one of the best-connected hubs in the world. Two international airports: Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle (CDG), 45 min from the centre, serves every capital and major world city; Orly (ORY), 30 min away, covers Europe and the Mediterranean basin. Six TGV stations radiate to London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Geneva, Milan and the whole of France. The Air France-KLM hub opens easy connections to Northern Europe, North America, Asia and the Gulf.

The rhythm of the year

The Paris market is active year round, with a spring peak (March to June) and a second window at the September return. Summer and the year-end holidays slow viewings without halting transactions. For a remote buyer, the ideal is mid-season: the climate suits viewings and demand is slightly less tight. The summer lull can open room to negotiate on homes that have sat for several months, especially in July.
